Many companies in the financial sector include non-compete and non-solicitation clauses in their employee agreements, designed to prevent the "raiding" or "pirating" of a firm's customers and employees. These clauses may seek to prevent an employee or contractor from working for a competitor, carrying their book of business to a new employer, or recruiting producers to a new firm. This presentation will analyze the application and legality of these restrictive covenants.
