Applied Behavioral Finance with Coaching Applications

Up to now, most discussion on the topic of behavioral finance has been theoretical.  This presentation will move from theory to practical application in a planner’s business.  Attendees will learn how emotions and cognitive shortcuts encourage investors to act contrary to their long-term goals, and what specific actions they can take.  A few “coaching” principles will be taught with examples from the COVID crisis of 2020.

Estate Planning Panel Discussion

Estate planning is essential to comprehensive financial planning.  Join us for a wide ranging conversation around estate planning with Anne Wenger, Cody Parks, and Patrick Hicks. Our local experts will review the basics and share what you and your clients need to be thoughtful of when it comes to estate planning. Their professional insight will give you tools & ideas to help better serve your clients.

Communicating Through Conflict

Goal: Provide communication and conflict resolution skills that can be used during conflicts with anyone in your life whether it is with a client, partner, or child. A tour of various communication models and best practices, such as Non-violent Communications, that can be used to de-escalate conflict and move the interaction forward toward the objective goal.
