Senior Consultant in the Advisor Education Group, Tim Steffen



Mr. Steffen is a senior consultant in the advisor education group at PIMCO. For more than 20 years, he has provided training for financial professionals on advanced wealth management topics, including tax planning, retirement strategies, and wealth transfer techniques. Before joining PIMCO in 2019, Mr. Steffen spent 20 years with Baird, most recently as director of advanced planning. He also worked at Arthur Andersen, specializing in personal tax and financial planning. Mr. Steffen is a faculty member for the Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA) program offered through the Investments and Wealth Institute. He earned an undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Illinois and holds the Certified Public Accountant license (CPA) and the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and CPWA designations.

Senior Vice President and Account Manager, Layne Hirsch



Mr. Hirsch is a senior vice president and account manager in the Newport Beach office and a member of PIMCO's global wealth management team. He manages relationships with registered investment advisers, multi-family offices and private banks and trust companies in the U.S. and focuses on business development for all product and vehicle offerings. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2018, he was a principal and financial advisor at Alliance Bernstein, and previously he worked in private wealth management at Goldman Sachs. He has 19 years of investment experience and holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He received an undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois.
